Panthers fans were last week asked to vote for which 2015 jersey should be added to the Penrith Bicentenary time capsule - and the consensus is clear.

With more than 70 per cent of the vote, the ANZAC Jersey proved to be easily the most popular selection.

2015 is a significant year for Penrith as it marks 200 years since the first government building was constructed, and the city of Penrith was established.

To celebrate this important and historic milestone, Penrith City Council has been running a year-long program of events for the community.

As part of the celebrations, a time capsule will be buried at Thornton Oval next month, packed with items which best represent Penrith and its people.

We will bring you full coverage of the time capsule burial as our 2015 ANZAC Jersey is placed underground for the Panthers fans of the future to uncover.
