Our wonderful friends from the Literacy for Life Foundation continue to do extraordinary work across the country improving literacy rates for indigenous adults.

After successful pilots in NSW communities, the Literacy for Life Foundation will roll out their innovative approach, based on a successful model known as ‘Yes I Can’.  Developed by the Institute of Pedagogy of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPLAC) in Cuba, they’ve taught 6 million people in 28 countries to read and write.

In Australia, the foundation now aims to extend the literacy campaign to at least four new Australian communities each year from 2014 onwards.
