Wentworthville Magpies Vs Penrith Panthers
Ringrose Park, Sunday, March 30
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Jeff Hartup

This Sunday’s game between the Panthers and Wentworthville will be as much about braun as it is about brains. The coaches of these two teams are two of the biggest thinkers in the game, and they don’t mind throwing a few curve balls at the opposition to try and put them off their game, so we are guaranteed some fireworks!

Last weekend Penrith posted their first win of the year, beating the Bulldogs 22-12. Despite a lot of early mistakes and some messy ball work, we finally got into an attacking style we were comfortable with and the rest just came along with it.

While Wenty made it three wins from three games, coming away with a 30-28 victory over Manly, thanks to a late comeback. In recent weeks they have fielded a very strong side, but they have lost a couple of key players this Sunday with Chris Sandow and Ken Sio being called up for first grade duties. The Panthers however, regain a few of their top players who have recovered from injuries, including Eto Nabuli (knee injury), Luke Capewell (turf toe) and Matt Robinson (ribs). On paper, this will be Penrith’s strongest side yet.

We’re very excited to see Nabuli in action again following his performance last year where he bagged no less than 25 tries and provided some explosive excitement on the wing. Robinson will be sturdy as always, throwing everything he’s got at his opposition. While Capewell is so keen to get back out on the field after a string of injuries, we reckon he might be lacing up his boots as we speak!
