Player/Injury/Return

Panthers have picked up a few injuries in the last week. Here is a list of sidelined players, and when we expect them back on the field.

JAMIE SOWARD: Rolled his ankle at training yesterday. Scans reveal it's nothing too serious, just a flare up of a previous injury. He will miss this weekend's trial against Newtown, but will be right for round 1.

ETO NABULI: MCL on left knee. He pulled up sore after our Auckland Nines quarter final match, and scans show it is worse than first thought. He will be out for at least 6 weeks.

WES NAIQAMA: Small tear in his pec muscle suffered in our first pool match at the Nines. He will see a specialist tomorrow to determine how long he will be out.

GEORGE JENNINGS: Dislocated his elbow in our Nines quarter final. He will probably need surgery and will be out for at least 12 weeks.

JAMES ROBERTS: Broke his ankle at training a few weeks ago, He should be back in round 7.

LUKE CAPEWELL: He's had surgery on his right foot after turf toe. He should be back for round 7.

SIKA MANU: Had a shoulder reconstruction after the World Cup last year. He should be back in round 4.

BRYCE CARTWRIGHT: Has had surgery on his wrist. He should be back round 3.
