It's a big week for the Panthers as we edge closer to round 1.

Our Auckland Nines squad has rejoined the rest of the team for training this week, after a positive and successful campaign across the ditch.

George Jennings and Eto Nabuli both picked up injuries that will see them sidelined for a few weeks, but we're hoping they'll recover quickly and get back out on the field for us.

We spoke with Assistant Coach Dave Fairleigh (a.k.a Daisy) who says this weekend's trial against the Newtown Jets will be a test run for our round 1 clash against Newcastle. We have most of the new recruits on board for first grade, and they'll be watching some of our key combos to see how they go!
