Panthers NYC co-captain Wayde Egan won NYC Player of the Year at the 2017 Merv Cartwright Medal on Wednesday night.

Egan scored 18 tries and provided 15 try assists in 21 games for the Panthers NYC side in 2017.

He also got his first taste of senior footy with five games and four tries for the Panthers ISP side.

Such was Egan's impact on the Holden Cup competition, he was named alongside fellow co-captain Reed Izzard in the 2017 NYC Team of the Year.
