Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary won Members Player of the Year at the 2017 Merv Cartwright Medal on Wednesday night.

Cleary, 19, rewrote the history books in 2017 as he became the youngest player in the history of the premiership to score 200 points in a season.

The Panthers playmaker also became the youngest player since Harold Horder in 1913 to finish as the season's leading pointscorer.

Cleary wrapped up the regular season with 216 points, 26 points more than his nearest rival.
