Penrith Panthers is delighted to announce Sione Katoa has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The contract extension means the 22-year-old hooker will remain with the Panthers until at least the end of the 2019 season.

"I am very excited about Sione and the fact he has committed to Panthers for another two years," Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould AM said.

"Sione has been in our development system here at Panthers for some time.

"He has shown tremendous potential and is definitely a regular NRL player of the future."

A former Junior Kiwis representative, Katoa was appointed captain of the Panthers Intrust Super Premiership NSW side in 2017.

He achieved his NRL debut for the Panthers in 2015 and made a second NRL appearance off the bench in Round Six this year.
