Scans have confirmed the full extent of the knee injury suffered by Panthers prop Sam McKendry in the Battle Of The West victory over Parramatta at Pepper Stadium.

On Monday night Panther Executive General Manager Phil Gould AM tweeted:

"Sam McKendry scans show partial torn ACL. Part ACL intact. Rest of knee strong. Sam will rehab. Fingers crossed returns soon."

The scan results mean there is a chance McKendry could still play a role in the Panthers premiership push in 2017.
