Wayne Peckham - Panther No.9 - passed away on Monday at the age of 72.

A tough and fearless centre from Moree, Peckham was a member of the inaugural Panthers side in 1967 and was also the club's first Indigenous player.

In three seasons with the Panthers, Peckham played 44 games and scored 11 tries.

He is survived by former partner Margaret, five children, 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
