The season is over for Panthers NYC stars Jarome Luai and Jack Hetherington after they failed to have dangerous throw charges downgraded at a judiciary hearing on Wednesday night.

The Panthers duo will each serve six-week suspensions following a tackle in last Friday's defeat to Wests Tigers.

Despite strong evidence to the contrary, the judiciary upheld both Luai's grade three dangerous throw charge and Hetherington's grade two dangerous throw charge.

It was better news however for teammate Reed Izzard, who successfully had his grade two charge downgraded to a grade one charge and will spend only one match on the sidelines.
