Newly appointed Panthers assistant coach and One Community Ambassador Trent Barrett and fellow One Community Ambassador Mario Fenech will host a barbecue tomorrow night (Friday Oct 26) for a lucky Kurrajong boy and his dad Matt Cooper (not Barrett’s former Dragons team-mate).
Matt, a NSW Sales Manager - Hazardous Waste for Chemsal, has invited almost 30 friends to the barbecue his son Cohen, 7, won in a competition in the NSW Rugby league’s Born to Be Blue Junior League magazine.
Cohen, who played for the Windsor Wolves this season, won a barbecue from Harvey Norman and the opportunity to have the two One Community Ambassadors – Barrett and Fenech - host a barbecue dinner at his house.
Matt will use the event to raise funds for the Cancer Council, which he and his twin brother Jono have been supporting for the past four years through the Relay For Life event and other activities.
