It's been a huge day at here at the home of the Panthers, with year 5 and 6 students trying out 15 different sports at the annual Panthers on the Prowl Community Development Foundation Sports Expo.
The children came from 11 different schools across the area, including Surveyor's Creek, Penrith, Llandilo, Londonderry, Mt Druitt, Warrimoo, Werrington, Lapstone, Bennett Road and Kingswood.
Organised by the Prowl's Healthy, Active Lifestyles teacher Darren Horgan, the event aims to get more kids into all different types of sport in the local community and beyond.
Panthers stars Kevin Kingston, Tim Grant, Nigel Plum and Blake Austin came along between training to check out all the action, with the Expo taking over almost the entire Stadium. From karate in the Chairman's Lounge, to Basketball in the players' carpark, this event had something for everyone!
The kids were also thrilled to meet NYC players Halafau Lavaka, Ian Riccardi, Bryce Cartwright, Nick Walker, Sam Scarlett, Brady Cheshire, and Geordie Connolly, who were on hand for the day helping the kids try out the different stations.
All students were given a showbag at the end of the day containing information on all 15 sports shown at the Expo, with the hope they'll take their interest a step further and get involved with something new.
Congratulations to all the kids and staff involved!
